About the Glock 19 Gen5
The Glock 19 Gen5 condenses the full-size G17 into a compact frame that still holds 15 rounds, which is why it stays common on police trade-in lists and in civilian carry rotations alike. The Marksman barrel and nDLC finish arrived with the Gen5 updates, along with a flared magwell and the removal of finger grooves. Recoil is modest for a polymer 9mm of this size, and replacement parts are everywhere. The factory sights are the weak point out of the box, so many owners swap them early. It runs dirty, cleans simply, and accepts the broadest accessory catalog of any handgun.
