About the CZ 457 (.22LR)
The CZ 457 replaced the 455 with a one-piece receiver, a fast 60-degree bolt throw, and an interchangeable barrel system that lets owners swap .22LR for .22 WMR or .17 HMR without buying a new rifle. American and Varmint variants differ mainly in stock shape and barrel contour, with the heavier contours holding accuracy better across long strings. The trigger adjusts for both travel and pull weight, and the guard clears gloves. A 20.5-inch barrel keeps the rifle quick to carry and swing. It is a staple for small-game fields and steel-rim practice alike.
