About the Ruger Mark IV

The Ruger Mark IV replaces the takedown complexity of earlier Mark pistols with a single-button barrel release that separates the barreled action from the grip frame without tools. That one change made the platform far easier to clean, which matters on a .22 handgun that accumulates powder residue quickly. The standard model feeds from a 10-round magazine, the trigger breaks with minimal overtravel, and the fixed sights sit low over the bore for instinctive alignment. Generations of bullseye competitors have started with this lineage, and the aftermarket still offers triggers, grips, and optic-ready slides for every skill level.
