About the Marlin Model 60

The Model 60 has been Marlin's entry-level .22 since 1960, feeding from a full-length tubular magazine that holds fourteen rounds without a box magazine to lose. The 18-inch barrel carries MicroGroove rifling that suits plated and lead match loads, and the self-loading action keeps maintenance simple. A cross-bolt safety sits behind the receiver, and the stock runs full length for adult shooters while still fitting younger ones with coaching. The rifle's modest weight makes it a fixture of youth training and small-game hunts, and parts for earlier decades remain easy to source.
